Success Stories

Huck.

Meet Huck!! This beautiful, 2 year old, 90 pound boy was picked up as a stray and found himself on death row at the Apple Valley Shelter. His beautiful face, calm personality and sweet demeanor caught our volunteers eye. We think he may have St Bernard or Swiss Mountain dog in him given his markings, but we think he's an Anatolian. Huck is truly a gem, easy going, great on the leash, very well mannered, social with all and just an all around great companion. Huck appears to be house trained, great on the leash, knows some commands and is eager to please! FAST FORWARD: Huck, now known as Finn, has found his forever home!! What a lucky boy, as he has an awesome home. His new family is in LOVE with him!! Finn is now getting all the love and attention he deserves. Happy Tails Finn!!!

Zenith.

Meet Zenith!! Zenith is an adorable, loving, 10 week old puppy who flew in on our Wings of Rescue flight last week. He is in a loving awesome foster home doing great and now ready to find his forever home. Zenith is doing great on house/crate training, is very well socialized, lovable, smart and eager to please! FAST FORWARD: Zenith, now known as Louie, has found his forever home. He is one lucky boy to have such an awesome family who LOVES him so much!! This was the PERFECT home for Louie. He has a fur buddy named Mattie who just adores him. Louie has brought a lot of happiness into Mattie's life. Louie is LOVED beyond the moon and back. Happy Tails Louie!!!

Iggy (HH5 I).

Meet Iggy!! Iggy is an adorable, loving, 10 week old puppy who flew in on our Wings of Rescue flight last week. He is in a loving foster home doing great and now ready to find his forever home. Iggy is doing great on house/crate training, is very well socialized, lovable, smart and eager to please! FAST FORWARD: Iggy has found his forever home. He is one lucky boy to have such an awesome family who LOVES him so much!! This was the PERFECT home for Iggy. He is LOVED beyond the moon and back. Happy Tails Iggy!!!

Rugar (HH2).

Meet Rugar (female)!! This adorable, full of personality, lil nugget flew in on yesterday's Wings of Rescue flight from the Hurricane Harvey Flood zone! Rugar is a 5 month old, 15-20 pound bundle of love!! Rugar almost didn't make the flight, she didn't have any takers...but, when we found a foster we said send her to us and here she is. Rugar is fabulous with other dogs, house/crate trained, good on the leash, knows some commands and is learning more everyday! Rugar loves car rides and she just wants to be close to you. She is a love! FAST FORWARD: Rugar has found her forever home!! Her new mom fell in LOVE with her as soon as she met her. Rugar is now in an awesome home getting all the love and attention she deserves. And to think she almost didn't make it on the flight to California. Happy Tails Rugar!!!

Dobie aka Chewie.

Meet Dobie aka Chewie!! This beautiful black Lab found himself in the shelter, alone and scared. The shelter reached out to us and asked if we could help him. We couldn't say no to this handsome boy. He immediately went to our vet to be checked out to be sure he was healthy and ready to find a home. FAST FORWARD: We had an adopter just waiting for Chewie to come along. Chewie was only at our vets a couple of days before he was met by his adopter. It was love at first sight!! Chewie now has an awesome home where he is now getting all the love and attention he deserves. Happy Tails Chewie!!!

Desi.

Meet Desi!! Who can resist puppy breath? Puppy Desi was rescued from the Carson shelter and she is doing awesome in her foster home!! Desi is a well socialized, lovable, sweet girl who is learning about potty training and how to be a good puppy! She is a ROCK STAR! FAST FORWARD: Puppy Desi has found her forever home!! Her new mom and dad happened to see Desi at one of our adoption events. They immediately fell in LOVE with her!! Desi, who is now known as Pink, has a fur buddy and a mom and dad who think the world of her. Happy Tails Desi, now Pink!!!

Charlie aka Dooby.

Meet Charlie aka Dooby!! This beautiful yellow Lab found himself in the shelter, alone and scared. The shelter reached out to us and asked if we could help him. We couldn't say no to this handsome boy. He immediately went to our vet to be checked out to be sure he was healthy and ready to find a home. FAST FORWARD: We had an adopter just waiting for Charlie to come along. Charlie was only at our vets a couple of days before he was met by his adopter. It was love at first sight!! Tobi.

Meet Tobi!! This little guy came in from Mexicali. He is as cute as can be!! Tobi is a typical little puppy who would love to give you puppy kisses and lots of puppy breath. He is doing great in his foster home. FAST FORWARD: Tobi has found his forever home!! His new family fell in LOVE with him as soon as they met him. Tobi is now in a loving home with a family who adores him and a big fur brother to call his own. Happy Tails Tobi!!

Cosmo.

Meet Cosmo!! This beautiful boy found himself in the shelter. No one came to claim him so we knew we needed to get him out of there as soon as possible. Cosmo is a great dog!! He is Leash trained, does well in a car, obedient, affectionate, eager to please, intelligent and even-tempered. Who could ask for more!! FAST FORWARD: Cosmo went into a foster home. It wasn't long before his foster let us know he wanted to adopt Cosmo. That was pretty easy for us to believe as he is an awesome dog! Happy Tails Cosmo!!!
