My name is Wllow's Rio.

Forever home wanted for Rio!! Rio is an amazing puppy with quite the story. He is one of a litter of thirteen puppies born to beautiful Willow, born in a field in Bakersfield. Lucky for this momma and puppies, some good Samaritans found her in a hole she dug and to give birth. All of the puppies survived and have made their way to forever homes. Now it's Rio's turn.

Rio is the last of the puppies to find a home because he was born with a genetic birth defect, he needed surgery to correct. He is about 4 weeks post op and all healed up. The condition Rio had is known as Hypospadias. It was a first for us here in the rescue.  We were very fortunate that a medical sponsor came through to cover the surgery known as a Scrotal Urethrostomy. Without a bunch of medical terms, the end result is Rio now pees like a girl! He will live a perfectly normal and healthy life.

He is a fun loving, affectionate little man that loves everyone he meets. He is currently fostered with his momma and 3 other big dogs that he loves to play with. If you are interested in meeting Rio, please fill out an adoption application at www.labradorsandfriends.org. Rio is located in Southern California.
