Foster or Forever home Wanted: Meet Maisie!

Imagine you just received a brand new collar and leash. You believe your family loved you but then the very next moment you’re being dropped off at the cold, loud shelter. All you see are strangers and all you hear are loud barking dogs….wouldn’t you be scared too?

This was Maisie’s reality prior to becoming part of our rescue. Being mislabeled as aggressive meant she was “rescue only” which made her chances of escaping the shelter alive very slim. But the reality is Maisie has zero aggressive tendencies and is just 100% shy and scared. 

Being pulled from the shelter, Maisie, who is around 2 years old, was placed into an amazing, quiet foster home that would allow her to decompress and slowly open up so that we could see her true personality. While still scared, this girl will slowly approach for pets and attention on her own terms and absolutely loves following her foster mom around the house. So far, we believe she is housebroken, gets along with other dogs, seems to be ok with cats, and would love nothing more than to find a family of her own who will let her open up at her own pace. She has so much love to give when she’s ready and now she just needs a family to accept her love. Could that be you?
